"Who consumes who?"

Our purpose for this campaign is to make students aware of responsible consumption importance. And the activities planned for it are to reuse paper sheets for posters to school, to make posters with responsible consumption lifestyle tips, to help people organize their purchases, to organize a group of students to help them meet their saving goals with a responsible consumption and to distribute triptychs to students.

We consider that it is important that students know responsible consumption because consumerism is one of the main causes of environmental damage, but it is also avoidable. And, if we do not change now, soon we will not be able to stop environmental deterioration.

The public we chose to be able to carry out our campaign were Dr. Angel Ma. Garibay Kintana" High School students.

For the logo we use three colours, green, brown and blue.
The green colour means all nature, as well as the healthy environment thanks to responsible consumption while the brown colour means solidarity with the environment and the strength of good consumption that we want to convey and finally the blue colour means stability with respect to responsible consumption and we also relate it to cleanliness and purity.

On the other hand, our slogan is:
“Responsible consumption, sustainable solution”.
This is easy to understand because to avoid consumerism it is necessary to have good consumption habits and in this way we can all contribute something good to the environment, or rather, the sustainable solution.

Furthermore, we consider two important facts of the problem in which it says:
Did you know that 24% of your Co2 emissions are generated by clothes you buy during one or two years?
This fact has two consequences which say:
  • If we don’t care about wasting natural resources, we will buy new clothes.
  • If we buy new clothes, we will increase our CO2 emissions.

Did you know that your purchases are increased 20% by buying decisions you take at the moment?
  • If we don't plan our purchases, we will buy unnecessary things.
  • If we buy unnecessary things, we will continue generating trash.
With the above facts, we seek students to become aware of their daily consumption and the problems they cause.
Finally, during campaign run time we will meet regularly with the students to follow up on their consumption goals, we will do a survey to verify if the posters have been helpful and we will check that the posters are in good condition.
We will carry out these activities in order to provide a better service during our campaign and so that students can better understand the purpose of it.
